Button assignment

Hi there,
I am experiencing some issue with button assignment.

I have this category hierarchy:

"Casa" = Parent Category
"Aspirabriciole" = Child Category
"Scopa Elettrica" = Child Category
"Robot aspirapolvere" = Child Category

I have 3 different button: Button1, Button2, Button3;

I go to Page rule Manager and:

I assign Button1 to "Aspirabriciole" category: perfect!, I display Button1 only in "Aspirabriciole" category page and posts under this category.
I assign Button2 to "Scopa Elettrica" category: perfect!, same as above!
I assign Button3 to "Robot Aspirapolvere" category: perfect!, same as above

I visited "Casa" parent category and I was displaying Button2 ... Why? It's strange because I didn't assign a button to this category. Actually I don't want to display any button here.

So what is wrong with my settings?

Hi @gamma42, I think this is happening due the first post that's loading in on the parent category. WordPress behaviour is that it's saying to Buttonizer: "Hi, I'm a post, and the post is from the category 'Elettrica'", so Buttonizer thinks it's a post page from that category and is showing that button due to that.

We haven't found a solution to this yet, it also confused me when developing the feature. I'll add it to our bug list so I can investigate this further in begin 2020.

I'll update this topic as soon we've news for you! If other people doe experience the same problems, please let us know and comment down below!
