Hey Olli ,
Thanks for reaching out to us! Good question!
Buttonizer supports three versions of FontAwesome, v4.7
, v5
and v6
, these are loaded through CSS files. While we can import our version of FontAwesome, it is also possible to disable that through the Buttonizer site settings and host your own version. You can do this by entering the settings in the editor, there you will find Import icon library
, which can be turned off.
When turned off, you can load your own files. Like you already stated, your theme already loads FontAwesome. That means that the only thing you have to do is change Buttonizer to the correct FontAwesome version and you're good to go, the icons will be loaded just like before 🙂
If that's not the case, you can always import your own FontAwesome library by adding the correct CSS files to your <head>
or download a plugin or extension that adds FontAwesome for you. If the icons are not visible, you can check this article to troubleshoot FontAwesome issues.
Let me know if this helps 🙂
Cheers,
Jasper
