Pre-filled messages are invissible text that is added to the user message. On submitting their first question, the information you enter will be attached to their message. Pre-filled messages can be used for a WhatsApp widget or Facebook Messenger Widget.
Example
The user is looking at an item in your store and enters the following question into the widget: is this still in stock?
When the user is send to the according messenger and confirm their message, you don't know about the product they've just reviewed. We can solve this by entering the following text in the Pre-filled message
field:
This is the page: {page_url}
When the user now asks the question is this still in stock?
, this will be the output:
is this still in stock? This is the page: https://domain.tld/shop/article/my-cool-product/
What the user sees
The actual text that is being send
And that's it!
Pre-filled messages helps both you and your visitor since the user will receive a faster relevant reply and you don't need to ask about what product they're talking about.
