Hi

So the buttons on one of our client sites stopped displaying: https://www.theworkspace.co.za/

Plugin is updated to 2.1.8 and I have tried to reset the position for the button group and flushed caching afterwards without any success.

The site was recently a dev site and I noticed the site license was showing as being allocated to the old dev URL in our Buttonizer 'Websites' dashboard. I synced the license in WP Dashboard and now the correct URL shows in the Buttonizer Dashboard, but despite clearing the caching afterwards this has not brought our buttons back.

Can you please advise how to resolve this.

Regards,
Jonas

Our button disappeared as well at queerdoc.com. Not sure if it was an Elementor or Neve update or a Buttonizer Update. Have tried deactivating all plugins and reactivating one at a time. Still no button visible

We have the same problem on our website. We wanted to release the page today, but when we went to check in the morning the buttons where nowhere to be seen... It seems it isn't a problem with the rest of our plugins.

Hi Jonas , I've just checked your website and it seems that Buttonizer is loading correctly (no javascript errors). But I do see that there are no buttons to display.

Could you go to the Buttonizer dashboard and see if you see all your buttons? If so, are they published? If they are, do they have a page rule attached to them and is the page rule set up correctly?

        Let me know 🙂

drcrystalbeal I've answered your support topic and your issue seems to be an javascript error. Your issue is not related to this discussion 🙂

Hi NeriB , what is your website URL? Then we'll take a look.

Hi Jasper it looks like the page rules were inverted somehow. I had a "hide rule" for two pages which somehow got turned into a "show rule" (so our buttons were now only shown on 2 specific pages instead of not shown on them).

Once I corrected that the buttons came back, but with completely broken styling that I was unable to fix (button backgrounds weren't obeying radius styling settings and icons weren't responding to sizing).

I ended up having to recreate the whole button group and buttons from scratch and now it's all looking right again.

Very strange because I don't believe anyone on our side had worked on these buttons since I set them up. So am assuming they were corrupted/broken after an update to the Buttonizer plugin?

            Jonas Thanks for the update!

That's strange, our previous updates shouldn't have affected the page rules. So far I'm aware of that part of the code hasn't been touched for almost two months now.

Did the site update from an older version of Buttonizer (v2.0 to v2.1?) earlier 🤔

Oh snap, that's annoying, probably the group setting was overwriting the button (or vice versa). We're currently rewriting the frontend code that generates the buttons so after upcoming update next month we don't expect that to happen again! 🙂

            Hi @Jasper

Yes, it very well may be that the site was using an older version of Buttonizer and that this was updated recently. I did first set it up back in Apr 2019 and am not sure how frequently the plugin was updated since.

And good to hear you're working on the front-end code.

            Thanks
