hi, i have problem with facebook messenger chat widget, it doesnt work on mobile. I see icons and others widgets (whatsapp, skype, call button) work correct. On desktop messenger work correct.

    It seems we might need to change the way we implement the messenger widget.
    We will fix this issue on our next big update! 😄

        That is possible. Ad blockers such as uBlock Origin block the Messenger Widget on our end.

        But I've tested the widget our end and it does indeed not open up on mobile.
        We will investigate this and fix it in an update.

        Facebook updated the messenger widget and it seems to be a bit buggier than the previous version.
        We will need to update our implementation of the widget to fix a couple of bugs.

I'm experiencing the same on https://6and40brewery.com - the desktop messenger app works perfectly but nothing happens when pressing the button on mobile.           Just checking in...doesn't look like this bug was fixed with this most recent major update, 2.2? Any ETA on when you expect it to be working? Thanks for your help.

            Hi marketyourcraft , does the issue still persist in v2.2.2? I thought my collegue fixed the issue last week for the 2.2.2 update.

              Thanks Jasper for the quick response! I just tried it after updating, clearing cache and refreshing the page with no luck. I have buttonizer working on three client sites and have disabled mobile messenger chat until I could confirm it was fixed. Thanks for any thoughts, have a good weekend!

              Hi Jasper, its great app but sadly no it has not been resolved in v2.2.2

              Thank you for the recent software update. Sadly its still not working on mobile for messenger but its functioning correctly on mobile for the others. I updated all software and have it working on desktop. Sorry for the bad news.

                  We have just released a new version, 2.2.4, that has a workaround for this issue! 🥳

                  The core of the issue seems to be with the Facebook SDK. The javascript function to open the widget doesn't work on mobile even with their own official plugin.

                  They will most likely fix this issue by updating their SDK but we have included a workaround as an option. You can find it under your messenger button's settings.

                  You can disable this workaround if it doesn't work for you or if Facebook have already fixed the issue in the future.

                      Thanks James, I appreciate the follow up! I have made the necessary changes, including removing the Messenger option from the desktop-only Buttonizer navigation (because apparently you can't have two instances of the Messenger on a desktop menu and mobile menu at the same time).
