Good question! Events are sent when the WhatsApp button is clicked. If you are using a menu button, there is also a separate event for clicking on the menu button. There isn't currently an event sent for clicking on the "Send" button. I'll jot your question down as an upvote to add more granular level tracking for each specific widget though, that is a good idea.
