    Hi Clarance ,

We are fixing this issue and are currently testing it! 😁

It might be released sometime next week.

Please bear with us until then.

This might be part of the same issue, but is there a way to stop the facebook chat widget from opening automatically when someone opens the page? it doesn't seem to do it every time but sometimes it does. I think it might be some minor interaction with the "greeting" that I'm doing and not even noticing.

also I'm having a very strange bug where the messenger widget works on most browsers but doesn't seem to work in private browsing mode in microsoft edge. not sure why.

        Hi stuart ,

        Regarding the chat opening automatically,
This could be caused by Facebook Messenger remembering the previous opened state.

The chat widget remembers if the user has opened the chat window and it will automatically open until it is closed again.

        Regarding private browsing mode,
Facebook Messenger doesn't work in private browsing mode in Edge since Edge has a built-in Tracking prevention that blocks Facebook's scripts when set to Strict.

Private browsing mode is automatically set to Strict, that is why it's not appearing.
