The Email Button doesn't work

I have tried to set the contact buttons, including phone, whatsapp, facebook messenger and email.
All work well except the email button.
No response and no email popup after clicking it.
Do anyone know that what has gone wrong?

Hi @mitchell ,

For the mail button action, we are using the mailto: HTML link.

This link will open the set mailing app in your device.
Mobile devices and Windows tend to already have a mailing app by default.

For Mac, you might have to make sure that you have a mailing app set in your settings.

If you already have a default mailing app set and it's still not working on your end,
let us know which device and browser you are using to test this. We would like to reproduce the issue and see what's causing the issue! 😄

Hi, i have exactly the same problem, if im testing it in safari on Mac, it opens a new tab in chrome, if I try it in chrome or firefox, nothing happens... Hope you can help me out

Thanks for bringing this up! I was wondering, if you press the following mail-link: noreply@buttonizer.pro . Does this open your email client or does nothing happen?

In case nothing happens, then it could be that your browser does not send your client correctly to your mail client (perhaps there are some setthing you have to change on your computer).

Hi Jasper, thanks for your quick reply! You are completely right! For some weird reason Chrome was selected as my standard email app, so it's fixed, thanks again for helping me out!
