When working on your groups and buttons, you want to see how it looks on your site. You're lucky, our advanced editor preview is one of the powers of Buttonizer!
Styling & testing your buttons
When you click on a button or group, you'll be redirected to the settings of the group or button (depending on what you click). Right clicking on your button will execute the button action for you. Only some button actions cannot be previewed in the editor.
Preview pages
From now on it is possible to change the preview-path. This way you can easily check how Buttonizer looks on any page of your website.
By using the feature, you can easily debug page rules, URL matches and even regular expressions.
TIP: You can copy the URL of a page you want to preview and paste it into the Preview URL input
Screenshotting your site
For any URL you load into our editor, the editor will try to make a screenshot of your site in the background. This way you can see how your buttons look like on your site, without even publishing them.
Making a screenshot of your site might take a few seconds (in some rare situations even up to 1 minute), but, when the result is loaded, your site is shining in our editor.
The screenshots are cached temporarily on our server and will then be removed after a few hours. When going back into the editor in the future, a new screenshot will be made.
In some situations, we cannot generate a screenshot of your page:
- The site blocked
- You have a maintenance page on
- We cannot access it from outside when:
- The site is on a 'localhost' domain
- It's on an intranet
- Only several IPs can access the site
- The server region is blocked to access your site
If you have trouble loading in your site, please open a support ticket. Then we can take a look for you what happened.
Note: Depending on your website's loading speed, screenshots can take some time to generate. The images are cached for a few hours and will be removed automatically from the server. Our CDN might cache these images a little longer, even if they do not exist on our server anymore.
