I downloaded and I'm now using Buttonizer on my website... it appears fine. But, I'm using Google Chrome for my web browser. However, I have friends in another State and when they go to my website, it (the button) does not appear... they don't use Google Chrome. Do you have to use Google Chrome to see these buttons? If not, why does the button show up on my website, but not on their website? How do I fix this problem?
Does the Web Browser Make a Difference?
Hi WayneC ,
It looks like your site has a caching plugin installed.
It could be that the caching plugin cached the version of your site without Buttonizer installed.
You can then see it in your browser since you're logged into your site and caching plugins tend to show admins the latest version of the site.
Could you try to clear the cache and see if the button will become visible on other browsers and devices?
I cleared my cache and now the button has disappeared from my website on my computer, also. So, how do I get this button to ALWAYS show up on everyone's browser when they are looking at my website?
I'm still not seeing any Buttonizer code on your site.
Are you perhaps using the Buttonizer plugin?
If so, you could add this into the Exclude JS AND Exclude CSS section of WP Fastest Cache.
wp-content/plugins/buttonizer-multifunctional-button/assets/
After adding this into the Exclude JS and Exclude CSS section, clear the cache and see if the buttons will now appear on the site.
If you're using the Standalone version of Buttonizer (app.buttonizer.pro),
Try and see if the code is still in the footer of your site since WP Fastest Cache shouldn't remove this code from any of their setting.
If it's not in the footer of the site, copy and paste the integration code of your site to the footer of your site then clear the cache.
I'm now using the buttonizer plugin. I removed the code in the footer before I added the plugin. The plugin didn't have me add any code to the header or footer.
I can now see the plugin... but, my friends in Texas do not see it... desktop and/or mobile.
Why? How to fix?
Thanks for letting me know that you're using the plugin version of Buttonizer.
Were you able to exclude Buttonizer from WP Fastest Cache and cleared the cache?
I cleared the cache, but I didn't exclude the Buttonizer plugin. How do I do that?
I see a page in the Wp Fastest Cache plugin for "Exclusions". When I go to that page, there are different areas such as "Exclude Pages", "Exclude User-Agents", "Exclude Cookies", "Exclude CSS", and "Exclude JS"... and, over on the right side of the page is a button for each of those labeled "Add New Rule". Do I somehow add the Buttonizer plugin to one of these?
I'm sorry James... I see where you answered this question 2 days ago... thankyou. I'm trying that now. I've included the code you gave me into the Exclude JS and the Exclude CSS and then I'll clear the cache. Then, I'll set the button again. I'll let you know how this goes...
Well, the button now shows up on my Google Chrome here in South Carolina, but not to my friends in Texas. Why? What do I do next?
Hi WayneC ,
I'm now seeing the Buttonizer buttons on your site!
There's a chance that your friends browser had cached a version of the site without the Buttonizer buttons.
They need to clear their browser's cache to see the buttons or use incognito mode since incognito mode doesn't use or save caches.
OK... I have asked my friends in Texas to clear their cache and try the website again. I also sent them a copy of your message. I'm waiting for their response...
See attached photos. One is with one button and is how I want it to look. The other photo is a copy of the picture you sent me... Why does your picture show 3 buttons? That is not what I see on my website.
Were your friends in Texas able to see the button?
I just took a look at your site again and it looks like I'm seeing the correct button now.
Perhaps the changes was not yet published when I saw the buttons? Or maybe the cache was not yet updated.
James... could you please look at my website again... the picture you took of my website DOES show the button that I was trying to display... the picture shows exactly how I was seeing my homepage. But, my friends in Texas who had just cleared their cache, were seeing multiple buttons like you had previously seen. So, two days ago, I had cleared the buttonizer plugin so that my website did not appear weird ALL weekend. Afterwards, I had looked at my homepage and the button was gone. NOW, your telling me what I WAS seeing...
Please look again.
If it's this difficult to use this floating button program, perhaps I should just leave it off my website. I was just trying to get a few extra calls...
So you know, this website belongs to those people in Texas... he is my nephew and knows even less about building websites than I do. I'm just trying to help him...
