About using the WordPress plugin
Since the end of June we have released version 3.0 of our WordPress plugin, this a version that connects with our standalone and shows some basic info of Buttonizer site and automatically adds and sets up the integration code to your site (including the page data for page rules). If you're running a WordPress site, then I recommend using the WordPress plugin.
When adding a new site
When you add a new site in our dashboard (or via the select site dialog), it will always start on free (this is the default).
From there on, you can go to the site settings via our Buttonizer Dashboard, scroll down to Subscription for this site and select your subscription for the site.
If you then refresh your editor, you should see that the license is active.
Synchronizing WordPress plugin
When you're using the WordPress plugin (latest version) and you connected your site with our standalone, you can go to our Settings page in the WordPress plugin and scroll down to Site information. There you will see the last synchronized subscription state. If it says Free and you already selected the license via our dashboard, the only thing you need to do is press the Sync with dashboard button.
Going inside the editor
Since our 3.0 we have integrated our standalone editor into our plugin. If you click Edit buttons in the WordPress plugin, you actually open our standalone editor, with some extra WordPress-only functionalities available (such as page selector etc).
If you open the editor of the same site outside your WordPress environment, the WordPress-only features will be locked to prevent errors and missing data, you'll see a message to open the editor via the plugin if you want to edit the values. You can read more about platform specific values here.
