page rules on other language pages

Just bought the pro version... Nice plugin !

I have a site with Dutch and French pages. The Dutch pages have a url domain.com/whatever... and the French are domain.com/fr/whateverfrench... The Dutch language is the primary language. And the french pages are marked to be translations.

I want some buttons to appear only on most of the french pages but not on specific french pages. So, reading the forum and knowledge base:

1) I made two groups: one Dutch buttons and one for French
=> page rule for the Dutch group: all pages that do not have /fr/ in the url (more specifically: the button is not triggered when there is /fr/ in the url).

=> page rule for the French group: button is triggered when there is /fr/ in the url

This works fine.

2) I made a button in the Dutch group and added a specific rule: don't get triggered on a specific page ("Contact Us")

This works fine. The dutch button appears on all the dutch pages except this specific page

But...

3) I made a button in the French group and wanted to add the similar specific rule not to be triggered on a specific french page

HOWEVER...
a) I can not select this French page ("contactez nous"). It does not appear in the dropdown. None of the French pages are in the dropdown
b) I can select the original specific dutch page. But this has no effect.

Any suggestions?

It's very neat to see your solutions with Page Rules 😁

Since Buttonizer doesn't technically support translate plugins, it doesn't pick up the additional language's pages.

The workaround for this issue could be to specify the French contact page URL in the page rules.

Use the URL begins with or URL contains then fill in the URL.

fr/contactez-nous

Let us know if this works for you!
If it still doesn't work, send us a screenshot of the French contact page Page Rule. We might be able to spot an error.

I'll stick to English so that other forum members (or anybody looking for info) can follow.
I suppose you have global ambitions with this great plugin.

Yes, in the mean time -indeed- I made a solution with a 'URL contains' rule. Works fine!

Some remarks:

1) I noticed the following: the page rule with option 'Page' gives a drop down of the pages in the language the admin is currently set. So when I switch my admin language to French, the drop down gives me the French pages.
(There are actually quite a few plugins and WP features that have this behaviour)

2) What if I wanted to trigger (or exclude) the button on specific products (e.g. in Woocommerce) ? These do not have always an easy identifiable url. They certainly do no come up in the 'Page' drop down. Maybe it's an idea to include a selection field (Post ID) ?
