  • Missing button icons (WP-Rocket Unused CSS)

Hello, we have a problem with our floating buttons, the icons are not displayed on most pages of our website. The icons are displayed again temporarily when we perform a "purge of used CSS" in the WP ROCKET extension. Could you please tell us how to get back to optimal use of your extension?

    Hi webmasterF1 ,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😃

From what it sounds like, WP-Rocket is removing the Font Awesome script that Buttonizer imports.

Is your site perhaps using WP-Rocket's Remove Unused CSS (Beta)?
From our experience with past issues, this seems to be removing Font Awesome causing the icons to disappear.

If so, could you try and add this into the CSS safelist directly under Remove Unused CSS (Beta)?
    https://use.fontawesome.com/(.*)

Please let me know if this solves the issue for you. 😄

I had a great weekend, thank you. I hope yours was good too.

Your solution seems to work. Thank you very much for your help!
    Have a nice week

James changed the title to Missing button icons (WP-Rocket Unused CSS) .

Glad to hear that it is now visible. 😁

Have a great week too! 😃

Finaly I rejoiced too quickly. Despite your recommendations, the icons still don't appear, only on the home page. I don't know how to solve this problem, but that's many of our customers use the home page to click on one of these floating buttons.

    Please get back to us.

    Thanks for letting us know.

After taking a look into the site in your account, it looks like the Font Awesome script that Buttonizer adds to the site is still not loading in on the site.

Could you perhaps take a look and make sure that the "Import Icon Library" setting in Buttonizer is enabled?

You can find this setting by going to Settings (gear icon) -> Icon Library -> Import Icon Library.

If it was disabled and you had to enable it, publish the changes and clear the cache in WP-Rocket.

    Hello,
The "Import Icon Library" setting in Buttonizer is enabled. I really dont know why that still doesn't work

Hello, I haven't heard back and my problem is still there.
    Please help me

      Hi webmasterF1 ,

      Sorry for the late reply!

Could you try adding this into the CSS safelist instead?

      https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/font-awesome/(.*)

If that does not work, then maybe you could try to add the Font Awesome icons though their official WordPress plugin instead.
      https://wordpress.org/plugins/font-awesome/

You can then use these settings:

      Hopefully one of these helped!
