Hello,
Fairly new to this plugin, I was willing to install a button on a corner, but could not figure out few issues:

1- How to get the button to show up only 10seconds after one given post appears?
2- how to get an animation on a face picture (quite the same as this orange animated button on Buttonizer's welcome page at the right down corner)
3- How to get a small corner bubble to show up right after clicking on the face, prompting to click on a linked url? I did try to install WP Popups to follow up on this bubble thing, but failed so far!

Thanks for any help on those few points.

Hey RP,

Welcome on the Buttonizer Community! 🎉

1: How to get the button to show up only 10seconds after one given post appears?

If you open the group-settings, you'll find Timeout inside Visibilty tab.

2: how to get an animation on a face picture

Animating is very simple as well, on the same tab, you'll also find an Animation section where you able to configure an animation.

3: How to get a small corner bubble to show up right after clicking on the face, prompting to click on a linked url?

I was wondering, what kind of bubble do you mean? Something like opening our iframe widget?

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Jasper

Hello, and thanks for those answers. I don't see the "Animation" and "Time out" tabs on a free plan. Do I assume that it will be available on any paid plan? Thanks.
Also, the Bubble I am referring to is pretty much the same as the one available when clicking on your left down green button: "Ask your question etc."
thanks for your future answer on that!

    rhpdc Thanks for your reply!

They are available on the free plan! You need to open the group settings, the settings are not available on individual buttons 🙂

In the GIF below yuo can see the steps to find Animations and Timeouts 🙂

when clicking on your left down green button: "Ask your question etc."

Ah! You can find this inside the label-settings! You can change this for all menu-buttons and individual buttons. You'll find the text inside General tab 🙂

Let me know if this helps again!

    Cheers,
    Jasper

    Hello,
    Thanks for your quick help.
I still can't figure out the second point , when you say:

Ah! You can find this inside the label-settings! You can change this for all menu-buttons and individual buttons. You'll find the text inside General tab 🙂

I just don't have "menu style" in my GENERAL tab showing up....
    Any idea where it went?
    Thanks

    Hello again,
I have a new question here:
How can I set a page rule to have my button showing up only on my websites posts, not pages?
I did not find that condition inside the page rules dialogs...
    Thanks

I managed to set up an iframe widget. But... Why is it launching the iframe url after 4 seconds of hovering over the iframe? I couldn' t find a way to change this setting, nor to prevent the url from launching automatically. Thanks

    Hey again!

We have two types of settings, button-settings and group-settings. Looking at your screenshot you have opened the button-settings. If you click on Contact chiropracteur Group, then you enter the group settings where you will find these settings 🙂

How can I set a page rule to have my button showing up only on my websites posts, not pages?

Good question! Do you have a specific URL where posts are under? Otherwise, if you're a WordPress user, you can trigger page rules for a specific category instead. In your case you can select all categories where posts are attached to.

Why is it launching the iframe url after 4 seconds of hovering over the iframe?

It is possible that it takes a little while before the iframe is loaded if a site isn't fast. Do you experience the same issue when you open the assistant on our community (the left corner button)? Or is it loading almost instantly?

    Let me know 🙂

Down below is a screenshot of the Contact Chiropracteur Group: no MENU STYLE under GENERAL tab is appearing!

ok, thanks, but I don't see how or where to make a rule on a specific category. Should I make a rule such as
      TYPE: url
      OPERATORS: contains
      RULE VALUE: https://www.chiropratique-france.net/category/infos-professionels-de-sante/
      ?
In this case, will ALL posts in this category be recognized as buttonizable?
      Thanks

Your button is loading almost instantly. Mine is loading fast as well, when viewing my iframe on your demo page. But as soon as I hover over my iframe for 2 seconds, a new page is loading with the same url embeded in the iframe... without clicking on anything!
Maybe I should try it live to see if it behaves the same...

      One last question also:
how can I make a link inside the iframe that would close the iframe?
ie: is there a command or url that could be linked to an anchor such as a word ("No thank you" or "Not now") that could shut down the iframe just like the cross on the top right corner?
      Thanks

      Hey again!

Ah, you can find Menu style inside the Styling tab of the group. I misread, apologies about that!

In this case, will ALL posts in this category be recognized as buttonizable?

Almost! If you are using our WordPress plugin and enter the editor, Page Rules for WordPress do have a few extra features, like selecting WordPress pages, individual Blog posts and Categories.

I also want to mention that I personally find the type Path easier to set-up since you will only need the path instead of the full URL 🙂

Maybe I should try it live to see if it behaves the same...

It's possible that your site works faster live than when you are signed in (it will depend if you're using a caching plugin or not).

how can I make a link inside the iframe that would close the iframe?

That is actually a interesting question! We have a JavaScript function which you could call in the original window: window.Buttonizer?.hideWidget(WIDGET ID). We currently do not have a great way to find the widget ID, it's inside the HTTP-call that contains your buttons and widgets.

However, there's another issue: iframes cannot call functions from the original page. We'll work on a solution next week to interact with Buttonizer through a widget since we think this would be a great addition to Buttonizer 🙂

I'll get back to you as soon as we have an update!

Let me know if this helps again or you have any questions in the meantime 🙂

      Ok, thanks for those answers.
Yes keep me posted for this .
Meanwhile, I was trying to have the iframe AND the button closing down but using the top right corner cross of hte iframe.. I couldn't find a way to do it. Only the iframe would close. Do you know if this is possible?
      Thanks.

Also, the iframe seems to load a little bit slowly... I am using WPRocket on Wordpress. Do you think it has to do with this?
If yes, is there anything we can do as far as the WPRocket settings to have the iframe load quicker?
      Thanks

      Hello,
Is there a chance to get an answer for my 2 previous questions anytime before November 1st?
Especially for this button closing issue: I would need to show the button once, then closing down when clicking on the top corner cross after being open, than NOT reopen again throughout the whole website, or maybe once in a while only... would it be possible?

Also, the button seems to be positioned differently whether it is seen on smartphone or laptops... any idea on how to change the STYLES (ie:padding) for those 2 types of terminals independently?
      Thanks

        Hey rhpdc ,

Apologies for the delay of my reply, I wasn't in the office until today (had a few days off) and hadn't seen your reply until now.

Meanwhile, I was trying to have the iframe AND the button closing down but using the top right corner cross of hte iframe.. I couldn't find a way to do it. Only the iframe would close. Do you know if this is possible?

The button that triggers an iframe widget should automatically transform into a button that closes the iframe widget as well. Doesn't that happen to your button or group? The setting also might depend on how the group settings have been set, such like the setting Hide group on button click (you'll find this in the menu-button settings if it's a group).

Also, the iframe seems to load a little bit slowly...

I think this isn't something we can change on our side since we try to instantly load the iframe as soon the widget is shown. The only way to speed-up an iframe is by making sure the webserver and website are optimized, but this really depends on how the site is set up and what plugins are being used. Caching plugins usually help a lot.

I've checked your website and your widget, for me it loadded almost instantly. It is possible that you are viewing your website as an admin, usually caching plugin serve the non-cached version of your site that is much slower. Have you tried to check your site in incognito to verify?

Also, the button seems to be positioned differently whether it is seen on smartphone or laptops... any idea on how to change the STYLES (ie:padding) for those 2 types of terminals independently

Looking at the button, you're using the percentage-positioning. We also support pixels which will be constant for all types of devices. If you go to the group settings, you'll be able to change it to pixels. Please check the following article: https://community.buttonizer.pro/knowledgebase/1611-how-to-position-your-buttons . In the How the position setting works section you'll see an animation how you can select pixels instead 🙂

Especially for this button closing issue: I would need to show the button once, then closing down when clicking on the top corner cross after being open, than NOT reopen again throughout the whole website, or maybe once in a while only... would it be possible?

Do you want to show a button only once per session? I'm afraid we currently do not have this kind of feature. Perhaps you can make use of the Timeout functionality to hide a button after amount of time 🤔

        Hope it helps!

Ok, thank you, but... how can we make a Timeout functionnality to hide a button? All I see is a timeout functionnality that seems to offer only a "date" or "time" range, but no actual countdown....

        Also,

"Hide group on button click" (you'll find this in the menu-button settings if it's a group).

I just couldn't find this functionnality neither! thanks for helping me here again...
