Not happy with your hidden payment trick to get full payment.
I have attempted to renew my agency plan at the offered amount of $246.49 (renewal). However, all my renewal attempts have failed. I suspect that this failure might have been intentionally orchestrated. I've tried using multiple cards. Once my current plan's renewal date lapsed, Buttonizer switched my plan to a basic one. Consequently, they downgraded my account to a basic level. Subsequently, when I tried to renew my account after the renewal date, they charged me $289.99. Surprisingly, this transaction went through successfully with the same card
Hi manu ,
Thanks for reaching out to us and letting us know about this issue.
Firstly, I would like to reassure you that this was not an intentional trick to not let you get the renewal discount.
It looks like there might be an issue with our payment system, specifically with Stripe, when the customer requires additional authentication from Stripe.
We will investigate this issue and fix it so that it won't happen again in the future.
For now, we will give you a partial refund on your current subscription's payment to reduce it to the discounted price.
It may take 5 -10 days depending on your bank before you can see it in your balance.
We will let you know what we find. If you have any other questions or issues, please let us know!
Hey manu ,
Thanks for your patience!
We've been in contact with our payment handler and we found out that there is an issue in the renewal/update payment checkout.
The renewal required an additional authorization step
(requested by your bank, such like 3D Secure) which should trigger a popup for additional authorization (for example, accepting the payment throug your banks app). However, this was not being triggered by the checkout when renewing.
It appears that the authorization step is working properly on the 'normal' upgrade checkout. This is the reason why the checkout worked.
We hope that this issue is fixed soon so that won't happen again. I hope this explains it all, I can ensure you that it wasn't a trick and was not intentionally!
