Whatsapp button for iPhone does not work

Hello! The Whatsapp button does not work when clicked from an iPhone mobile phone. I have checked if it's only with this type of phone and, apparently, it is. It perfectly works with Android. I do not really know why or what to do.

Could you please help me with this?

Thanks for letting us know you have trouble with the WhatsApp button action. How have you set up your phone number? Does it contain any + or any other types of symbols?

Thanks for replying. Correct. I added a + symbol as I thought that was the way it worked. However, is that the reason why it is not working with IOS phones? It is only not working with that type of devices.

Hi @Luis ,

From the whatsapp API website, it says the following about the phone number format:

Omit any zeroes, brackets, or dashes when adding the phone number in international format.

So remove the + and zeros. So for example, +31 6 12345678 should be entered as 316512345678 . Then it should work. See whatsapp's example below.
