  • Change the Analytics Event label

Hi. Good morning,

Currently when someone clicks on the whatsapp button for example in the Behavior > Events > Top Events of Analytics in the section "Event label" the title of the page appears and I would like the URL to appear. Can I change it somehow?

Thank you,

Eroles Hi there, Welcome to the community 😀 !

When someone clicks on one of the Buttonizer buttons an event in Google Analytics will appear. The Even label is the page title of the page where the visitor has clicked on the button. So by changing the title of the page you can change the event label as well. Can you give me some more context about this issue. Which click actions do you have setup in Buttonizer and on what pages do you get the title that you mentioned? Happy to help!

Hi Jeroen, thanks for your quick response,

Where do I change the label you're talking about? I couldn't find it and I looked at almost all the FAQs you have.

    Thank you very much!

      Hi Eroles,

The event label in analytics is the page title of the page where the button gets clicked. So it's not something you change in Buttonizer. Try changing the title of your wordpress page where the button is visible. This should also change the button label.

If you could provide us some more context (webpage where Buttonizer is active) I can have a look for you.

Hi Jeroen, thanks for your quick response!

What I want is simply to change the label that instead of the title gives me the URL, this is not possible in buttonizer?

      Thank you,

        Hi Eroles,

Unfortunately, you can't change the label in Google Analytics with Buttonizer. This can only be done by changing the page title of you website as Buttonizer uses this by default. But if you go to Behavior > Events > Top Events and select Event Action, you can see the label names of the Buttonizer buttons. These can be changed by going to Buttonizer and rename the button name.
