We have an option to have the group opened by default.
It is located in the Group's settings under Menu Style.
This makes it so that when the group is first rendered, it will be open.
But when the customer closes the group, it will be remembered and will remain closed until the user opens it again or leaves the site.
This is done so that it will not annoy the user when it opens every time they visit another page in your site.
