Hi. Just following up on this discussion.
I am also trying to get a solution working where Buttonizer is only being loaded after user consent. I am also working with Borlabs Cookie for this purpose.
However, the option "GPDR: Wait on consent" does not work on my site. If I turn it on the Buttons are stilll shown on the main site. (Even nothing has been set up in Borlbas Cookie).
For my GDPR understanding it is the safest practice to let the user allow consent for external content before showing it - especiall if some data is then stored for statistical reasons.
Staging site URL is https://staging.safe-guard.at
Thanks for helping.
Cheers, Philip

Hi Philip,

I took a look at your site and noticed that you have a caching plugin installed. It could be that the changes is currently not being shown on the site right now.

Could you try to clear the cache of your caching plugin then test it in an incognito tab?

Hi Jasper .
Thank you for the fast response.
The caching was the reason why the change did not show up.
However, I was not able to setup up Borlabs the way that Buttonizer receives the consent information and shows the Button afterwards.
After few tries of different configurations in Borlabs I quit this task and relied that you comply with EU GDPR law in general.

However, I'd be very happy if you would still have more detailed information about setting up Borlabs and buttonizer in the way that Buttons are only shown after consent has been given.
I am aware of this article: https://community.buttonizer.pro/knowledgebase/1426-wait-until-gdpr-consent-given but could not set it up that it works.

Thanks,
Philip

    Hey theothernormal !

Thanks for your reply! I just found out you posted your reply in the other discussion, so I've moved your post to this topic instead 🙂

I was wondering, do you have any example online which I can visit? We personally do not have Borlabs, so unfortunately we weren't able to fully test our configuration on that plugin.

Was there anything displayed in the console when you had Borlabs configured to execute that JavaScript function?

I quit this task and relied that you comply with EU GDPR law in general

That for sure! However, we can still give it a shot to get it working if you'd like 🙂
